How the Blender add-on works

The add-on is meant to remove export friction from the review loop. Install it once, connect once, then use the FEEDBACKS sidebar panel to target a session and push your current mesh straight to the web viewer.

01
Install
Run the Windows installer. It drops the add-on into your Blender user add-on folders and tries to enable it automatically.
02
Connect
Connect with email/password directly, or use browser pairing if you sign in with Google. No manual API key entry is required.
03
Export
Pick an existing FEEDBACKS session or create a new one, then export your current mesh as FBX or GLB directly from Blender.
04
Review
Optionally push your material maps too, then open the browser viewer automatically on the uploaded session and continue the review there.

Export from Substance Painter to FEEDBACKS

Drop a single Python file into your plugins folder. The plugin adds a dock panel that exports your mesh and PBR textures (albedo, roughness, metalness, normal, emissive, opacity) directly to a review session. Choose 1K or 2K resolution on export.

01
Copy plugin
Place feedbacks_substance.py in your Substance Painter python/plugins/ folder.
02
Start plugin
In Substance Painter: Python > feedbacks_substance > Start. The FEEDBACKS panel appears as a dockable widget.
03
Log in
Enter your FEEDBACKS email/password or paste an API token. Credentials are saved between sessions.
04
Export
Select a session, click Export — mesh + all baked texture maps upload to FEEDBACKS and the browser opens automatically.
